China Xiang is one of the best Chinese restaurants I‘ve been to in NYC. They offer Hunan cuisine, which is less common than other types of Chinese cuisine. It is also known as Xiang cuisine, hence the name China Xiang.
Visited for dinner before a show. The egg drop soup and Dan Dan noodles were great but the stand out was the dry pot. Can‘t say we‘ve had it before, but we‘re converts now. The taste was excellent, at spicy ‘normal‘ we didn‘t make it unbearable, but it still packed a punch. And it was a generous serving.
Loved the food. We tried almost all of the dumplings and they’re delicious! The pork soup dumplings were the best I’ve ever had. The bbq pork sweet buns were my second favorite. The entrees were amazing as well. The restaurant was slow when we got there and we still had to ask for drinks a few times. So service could have been faster but everything else was top notch!
